Top 50 Toys Today's Kids Want

If you want to connect with today's kids, you must enter their world. A missionary learns the language, customs, food, traditions and culture of the people he or she is trying to reach.

If you are serious about being a missionary to today's kids, then you must do the same.

We have to remember, we were once kids, but we are not kids now. The world looks much different than when we were kids.

If you are not intentional about keeping up with what today's kids like, then you can get out of touch and have a harder time connecting with them.

One of the biggies for kids is obviously toys. What toys do today's kids like? What are they playing with? What's on their list for Christmas? What are they asking for on their birthday? What catches their eye when they are shopping with their parents?

Below is a list of the top 50 toys that today's kids want. Read over these and acquaint yourself with them. You can use these as a talking point for the kids you minister to. It's also a great way to make small talk with kids who are first-timers.

Here's what I would encourage you to do. Print out this list and get it into the hands of your volunteers. It will be a great tool for them to use. Then each month or at least every quarter, make a new list and get it into their hands.

We did this each month at one of the children's ministries I led and it was very helpful for our volunteers.
