Kids can have a rough go with self-esteem. Being called names can make them feel worthless. If they don't have the latest, greatest tennis shoe, they can feel inferior.
Kids are also in a comparison game. Comparing grades in school. Comparing clothes. Comparing sports ability.
One of the toughest things to face is when kids are picking teams. Everyone is trying to avoid being the last one picked.
The video below puts kids right in the middle of that scenario and then sets you up to tell them that their self-worth is not based on what they do. Rather, it's found in Jesus. He has picked you. He loves you. Find your self-worth in Him.
This video is a great discussion starter for large groups, small groups, mid-week, etc.
